This is in connection with a statement alleging that Sanusi Md Nor “was in danger” following his no-show at a ceramah in Sungai Petani.
Kedah police chief Comm Datuk Fisol Salleh said these individuals will be summoned on Tuesday to clarify what had been said in their speech which had been uploaded to social media.
Comm Fisol said the case will be investigated under Section 505 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. He said police have since recorded statements from four persons who have lodged a report on the matter. Muhammad Sanusi was also scheduled to attend a mega ceramah organised by the Opposition coalition at Padang Serai, but he failed to appear and was speculated to have been arrested.
