A third suspect escaped and remains at large.HARRISBURG, Pa. — State Police have two suspects in custody and are searching for a third after an alleged attempted break-in at a Dauphin County auto dealership early Wednesday morning.
The suspects, whose identities were not released by authorities, were apprehended after leading troopers on a chase in a stolen vehicle, State Police said. They were taken into custody without incident after crashing their vehicle in Lebanon County, according to police.The incident began at 5:45 a.m. outside Ciocca Honda, located on the 8000 block of Allentown Boulevard, according to police. Responding troopers found the suspects attempting to break into the dealership.
State Police pursued the suspects' vehicle, which traveled east on Allentown Boulevard at a high rate of speed. Police successfully used spike strips on the vehicle at the intersection of Allentown Boulevard and Laudermilch Road, but the vehicle continued east into Lebanon County. The pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle lost control and left the roadway, crashing into a field near the intersection of Allentown Boulevard and Coon Creek Road, where the suspects fled on foot, police said.
Troopers apprehended two of the suspects, but were unable to catch the third. The third suspect is not believed to be armed or dangerous. The search for him continues, police said.Before You Leave, Check This Out
