IPOH: Perak expects to welcome more flights from countries in Asia as it prepares for Visit Perak Year 2024, says Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad.
The Perak Mentri Besar said the state government had started discussions with several airlines to set up flights to Sultan Azlan Shah Airport here.
"State tourism, industry, investment and corridor development committee chairman Loh Sze Yee and public transport committee chairman Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin are discussing with the airline companies. On another matter, Saarani said about RM7mil has been allocated to repair and upgrade some run-down tourist attractions in the state."We have approved the allocation and hopefully it can be completed as soon as possible," he said.
