Rochester, N.Y. A California-based company has been selected as the big winner of the seventh round of Luminate's startup accelerator program.

Nicslab , a California-based optics company, received $1 million state investment after winning Company of the Year during the 2024 Luminate Finals.

Five other companies were awarded funding at Thursday's event, which marked the completion of the seventh year of Luminate's accelerator program.
