The Dube Birds failed to get off the bottom-two following a goalless draw on Saturday against SuperSport United which extended their run without victory to three matches.
Richards Bay were on the brink of defeat before Katleho Maphathe’s late stunner ensured a 1-1 draw against AmaZulu in the KwaZulu-Natal derby on Sunday. The Natal Rich Boys, who sit second on the table, have registered two wins from their recent three encounters and boast no defeats in the process. Swallows are set to welcome defender Gregory Damons back from suspension and have also captured Bongani Sam on-loan from Orlando Pirates in addition to goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi.
It is going to be the second clash between the Dube Birds and Richards Bay in the matter of weeks, with the latter winning the corresponding meeting 1-0.
