The clash against Gallants comes five days after the Brazilians held Al Ahly to a 2-2 draw in an entertaining CAF Champions League clash in Group B on Satuedat.
Sundowns, who have large for parts of the season beaten everyone before them, had their dominant winning run of form ended on Saturday in Cairo. Like their counterparts, Gallants are also involved in continental duties this term and lost top spot in Group A in the CAF Confederation Cup following a 2-0 loss to USM Alger on Sunday.
The loss to the hard-running Algerian side ended Bahlabane Ba Ntwa’s unbeaten start and four-match winning run since the removal of coach Dan Malesela. It is going to be a repeat of last season’s Nedbank Cup final, where Masandawana edge Bahlabane Ba Ntwa while the Brazilians also claimed the spoils in the league earlier this season.
