Abafana Besthende went down to Orlando Pirates in their last match and failed to consolidate their spot in the top eight and therefore dropped to 12th position.
The Team of Choice continued to ease their fight against the drop with their second win in a row last Sunday against Royal AM in another KwaZulu-Natal derby in Pietermaritzburg. Maritzburg, though, are still in the bottom-two slots and can go as high as tenth and close to the top eight bracket with a win over Abafana Besthende.
With a top eight spot in sight, Arrows can regain their slot in that bracket with three points over United who they beat 2-0 earlier this season through Ryan Moon’s first half brace.
