Early voting for the June 28 primary election in Chicago was to have started May 26 at the city’s downtown super site, but late-breaking ballot changes have pushed back the date to May 31.
Election officials said the changes, as well as ballot proofing and pre-election testing of machines, caused the delay.
In recent days, the Circuit Court of Cook County has ruled to: remove Stephany Rose Spaulding from the 1st Congressional District race; and to place Carmen Navarro Gercone and Noland Rivera on the ballot for Cook County sheriff. The Chicago Board of Elections site at 191 N. Clark St. will now open at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Mail-in ballots will start to be shipped May 31.
Hours for the super site are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays, through Election Day on June 28. will be open June 13-28. The 50 early voting ward sites are open to all voters, regardless of home address, and voter registration services will also be provided at these locations.

Early urbanism found in the AmazonMore than 20 years ago, Dr. Heiko Prümers from the German Archaeological Institute and Prof. Dr. Carla Jaimes Betancourt from the University of Bonn, at that time a student in La Paz, began archaeological excavations on two 'mounds' near the village of Casarabe in Bolivia. Next to the 'mounds,' these traces include mainly causeways and canals that often lead for kilometers in a dead straight line across the savannahs.
