defenseman Nils Lundkvist will be scratched for the first time this season on Monday in St. Louis.
Lundkvist took a step forward when Heiskanen was out in late October, surpassing the 20-minute mark three times and earning more responsibility. He was on the second power play unit until the last three games, when he was replaced by Denis Gurianov. Lundkvist went through this a bit last year in New York, when he was eventually sent to AHL affiliate Hartford.
Faksa has three goals and an assist in the last seven games. In the first 15 games, he had just one assist. DeBoer has largely kept together the top line of Jason Robertson, Roope Hintz and Joe Pavelski, along with the third line of Benn, Wyatt Johnston and Dellandrea. But the door on the second line has been revolving.
