The Dallas Stars have acquired forward Mikael Granlund and defenseman Cody Ceci from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for draft picks. The Stars are looking to bolster their roster with the additions of Granlund and Ceci, who both bring valuable experience and production.

According to the team, the conditional third-rounder is Winnipeg’s 2025 fourth-round pick, which will upgrade to Dallas’ third-round selection if the Stars make the 2025 Stanley Cup Final.“We are excited to welcome both Mikael and Cody to Dallas,” Nill said in a statement.
Granlund and Ceci were among the Sharks’ most productive players during the 2024-25 campaign. Granlund led San Jose with 45 points , while Ceci ranked second among the team’s defensemen with 15 points and 11 assists.
