Stardew Valley Update 1.6 is getting closer to release on mobile and console.
Stardew Valley PC players have been enjoying Update 1.6 since last month. Those on mobile, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS Vita, and Xbox One -- as well as those playing on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S via backward compatibility -- have had to watch as PC players enjoy one of the largest updates to the game. Unfortunately, there is still no release date for Update 1.6 on console and mobile, but there is a confirmation that these versions of the update are coming as soon as possible.
Taking to X, developer ConcernedApe teased those on these platforms that the update's release is"in progress." Unfortunately, there is no specific release date to provide. That said, the fact ConcernedApe took to X to provide this update suggests Update 1.6 is perhaps coming to console and mobile sooner rather than later.
"They are in progress and will be released as soon as possible," said ConcernedApe."I have no specific release date, but I will give updates if there is anything significant to share. I really appreciate your patience and understanding." For those out of the loop, Update 1.6 is a major update to Stardew Valley, and perhaps the last major update, though ConcernedApe has suggested this about updates in the past only to go on and ship another big one.
