The world’s last Cold War frontier now has a Starbucks cafe in South Korea where customers can sip coffee while looking into North Korea. The new store, located in an observatory near Gimpo, is attracting hundreds of curious visitors.

Starbucks, with its global recognition, could change the border area’s “dark and depressing” image, Gimpo Mayor Kim Byung-soo said.
