Star Wars’ secret trilogy may be established.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary Ahsoka episode 6 secretly set up a trilogy of movies based on the origins of the Jedi Order. In April 2023 at Star Wars Celebration, it was announced that James Mangold would be directing a Star Wars movie. The film was listed under a period labeled Dawn of the Jedi and is set to explore the origins of the Jedi Order set 25000 years before Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace.

Aside from these brief details, little is known about the upcoming Star Wars movie. One commonly theorized element though is that Disney's other plans for the Star Wars universe, from Dave Filoni's New Republic adventures to Daisy Ridley's return as Rey Skywalker, will tie into the Mangold film from across millennia. With that in mind, one line from Ahsoka episode 6 may have secretly teased an interesting reveal about Star Wars' Dawn of the Jedi story.

Given that Huyang notes that his stories are about the history of the galaxy - and begins the story with another nod to Star Wars through the iconic words "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." - this could tie into Mangold's movie. The ancient history of the galaxy would certainly apply to stories of 25000 years ago as Mangold's movie will focus on.

Huyang Could Be The Narrator Of Lucasfilm's Jedi Order Movies Another fun element of this theory involves Huyang as a character. Huyang is an incredibly old droid, having served countless generations of Jedi dating back 25000 years himself. Interestingly, this could set up Huyang as having a role in the Dawn of the Jedi movie.

Huyang could act as the narrator for the films, with his voice-over explaining the story being the Huyang featured in the New Republic era to tie back into Ahsoka's storytelling aspect while his younger self plays an active role in the film. This would provide an immensely interesting character with much more to do, and make the film more accessible to wider audiences by placing a known character as part of the proceedings.
