Star Wars' highly anticipated Ahsoka show is already reported to have many familiar faces, but one rumor about a possible villain may reveal the plot.
The upcoming Ahsoka series may have just revealed a key villain, according to a new rumor. Ahsoka will track Ahsoka Tano through the post-Imperial Empire galaxy, taking place around the same time as The Mandalorian. Closely tied into Star Wars Rebels and The Mandalorian, Ahsoka's story will reconnect many Star Wars characters who have interacted in the past, and if there’s any truth to a rumor about a possible villain, the effect will be incredibly interesting.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT According to Making Star Wars, Ahsoka will feature Morgan Elsbeth throughout the entire series. This would be an interesting focal point, considering that the rumored plot would have the two characters on parallel missions. If this prediction is correct, Ahsoka would see both Ahsoka and Morgan Elsbeth racing to find Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn, respectively, after they disappeared into the Unknown Regions together.
Ahsoka & Elsbeth Could Be On A Race For The Unknown Regions Ezra and Thrawn were sent deep into space when a flock of purrgil pulled Thrawn’s command ship into hyperspace. Years later, Ahsoka would attempt to get information on Thrawn’s location from Elsbeth before overthrowing her with Din Djarin. If the rumor about Elsbeth’s role in Ahsoka turns out to be true and the magistrate was actually already preparing to seek out her master, then this interaction would have a new meaning.
Elsbeth’s appearance in The Mandalorian implied that she was busy building some sort of large machine, and a mission to bring Thrawn back to the Core Worlds would be the perfect explanation for it. Though she was defeated by Ahsoka and Din, she wasn’t confirmed to have died, so the rumor of her involvement in Ahsoka would make a fair amount of sense considering the shared goal the two characters have.
The rumor that Morgan Elsbeth will be a primary villain on the hunt for Thrawn in Ahsoka would be incredibly interesting to see considering their history together. Plus, by creating a mission with a built-in rival whose motivations are already well established, the story would have no problem enticing viewers. However, none of this is confirmed, and audiences will simply have to wait and see what is really in store for Ahsoka in her upcoming series.
