Each issue of the series will see a different Jedi duo taking on a unique threat, with the series building to the reveal of the overarching villain who binds them together. Writer Marc Guggenheim explains that the series is about seeing how the Jedi operated before Palpatine used the Clone Wars to break down their ideals and safeguards, showing them at their prime as galactic peacekeepers.
