Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Star Wars fans have spotted an absolutely delightful Indiana Jones Easter egg in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Alden Ehrenreich joined the cast of Solo: A Star Wars Story as the young Han Solo, a decision that proved to be a little controversial; Lucasfilm blamed the recasting of Harrison Ford's Han Solo for the movie's poor box office performance.
The Star Wars movies and TV shows are absolutely packed with Easter eggs, but this is a particularly entertaining one. But this Indiana Jones Easter egg goes one step further, paying respect to Ford's abiding influence in Hollywood in general - and in Lucasfilm in particular. Ford was actually the second choice for Indiana Jones . In this case, the runner-up was most definitely the right choice, and it's impossible to imagine anyone else playing either Han Solo or Indiana Jones in the original movies.
