While it is supposedly a franchise the whole family can enjoy, Star Wars is filled with shockingly dark and deadly stories. Almost every movie includes at least one mass casualty event, from exploding Death Stars to Holdo Maneuvers.
But, somehow, the animated shows contain some of the most violent Star Wars moments. Star Wars: The Clone Wars features many a shocking moment of heads being cut off — including by Ahsoka when she was a child soldier — to entire civilizations being wiped out of existence. And Star Wars Rebels followed suit, featuring more death and destruction. And while the mass killings are usually handled by the bad guys or at least living, breathing beings who are trying to save the galaxy from the bad guys, there is one Star Wars droid who not only has a surprisingly high kill count, but revels in it. And he's a rebel. Chopper Just Likes To Kill While R2D2 has destroyed other droids and helped in the killing of Storm Troopers, Chopper, the main droid in Star Wars Rebels has killed more people than just about anyone else in the franchise, and he did it with a song in his heart. From the start — literally the first two episodes of Rebels — Chopper is killing people. But it is in the show's second season episode"Stealth Strike" where the maniacal droid really lets loose and shows everyone just how deadly he can be. In the episode, the crew of the Ghost sneak on to a Imperial Interdictor-class heavy cruiser to free their teammate Ezra Bridger and Commander Sato. While finding Ezra is easy, Sato is another matter, and as the gang goes to rescue the Commander, Chopper and Ezra head to the ship's reactor to sabotage the experimental gravity well projectors that power it. But Chopper isn't one to do things the easy way, and instead of shutting off or destroying the gravity well projectors, the kill happy droid sets them to their limit. He also doesn't tell anyone what he's done because he's a sneaky little droid. Posts 27 By El Kuiper Sure enough, as the rebels attempt to enter hyper space, the Imperial Interdictor turn on the gravity well projectors so they can do what they were designed for: keep any rebel ships from escaping. But what the Imperials don't realize is that because of Chopper's tinkering, the wells are pulling everything, including the other Imperial ships, to it. Faster than you can say"may the Force be with you," the Imperial Interdictor find itself being crushed between two Arquitens-class command cruisers, destroying all three ships. In that single moment, Chopper killed upwards of 50,000 Imperial soldiers. Chopper Would Kill More If He Could While Chopper will put up with the other members of the Ghost crew, the only person he actually likes is Hera and, as seen in Ahsoka, her son Jacen. The others could die and he wouldn't mind all that much. In fact, he tried to Ezra multiple times, and even suggested killing a Force-sensitive baby in the episode"The Future of the Force" to keep the Empire from training the infant to be an Inquisitor. Chopper is also happy to kill other droids. He actively tries to kill them whenever possible, even if they aren't a threat or working for the Empire. The one time Chopper met R2D2, he instantly attacked the famous droid. Why? Because he's Chopper, that's why. And the fans love him for it.
