When Disney rebooted the Star Wars canon in 2014, it had the upside for allowing a new generation of storytellers to be able to use the franchise's most iconic characters, and craft stories set in its most iconic time periods, unencumbered by the vast and deep lore than had accrued over the years, making the Star Wars Expanded Universe one of the most detailed, and crowded, timelines in sci-fi media.

One character, Darth Andeddu, has been brought into the Disney canon by way of a passing reference. An ancient Sith Lord of incredible Dark Side power, the character's final fate was depicted in 2008's Star Wars: Legacy #27, and may hold some hints as to his future use.

Andeddu's Story Should Be Adapted For The Disney Era Star Wars: Legacy was one of the best, and last, attempts made in the Legends canon to do something new with Star Wars, to take the franchise in an unexpected direction.
Legacy is one of the last places Star Wars fans tend to look when considering what Legends material will find its way into the new canon. With Andeddu's throwaway mention in the 2019 Star Wars Adventures: Return to Vader's Castle miniseries, the door is open for Andeddu to make another comeback in the Star Wars galaxy.
