The USS Enterprise in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds receives a subtle tweak to its exterior to go along with the sleeker interior of the ship.

One Star Trek fan points out a subtle change to the exterior of the USS Enterprise in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds in contrast to how the starship appears in Star Trek: The Original Series. Captain Christopher Pike commands the Enterprise in Strange New Worlds, which is set about 6-7 years before Captain James T. Kirk takes over the flagship of the United Federation of Planets.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Twitter user Jörg Hillebrand , who was a researcher for Star Trek: Picard season 3, pointed out that the neck of the Starship Enterprise in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2 is now curved instead of straight. Check out his Tweet with photos below:

The Enterprise's now-curved neck connects the saucer section with the stardrive section, which contains engineering, the shuttle bay, and connects to the nacelles that power the ship's warp drive. It's a very subtle tweak that gives Captain Pike's Enterprise on Strange New Worlds a sleeker quality than the stiff-necked, more militaristic-looking Enterprise in Star Trek: The Original Series.

Why Pike's Enterprise Looks Different From Kirk's When It's The Same Starship Strange New Worlds is obviously produced over 56 years after Star Trek: The Original Series and, although it's a prequel, Strange New Worlds presents itself as what TOS would look and feel like if it were made in the present day.

The Starship Enterprise in Strange New Worlds has much more plush interiors, including Captain Pike's quarters, which are far more luxurious than the utilitarian cabin Captain Kirk uses in Star Trek: The Original Series. Other features like the Enterprise's gorgeous new bar, the Port Galley, are apparently gone from Kirk's Enterprise.
