Vulcan Ambassador Sarek had more than one human wife in Star Trek. Sarek was the father of Spock , Sybok , and the adoptive father of Michael Burnham . One of the most respected Vulcans of his era, Sarek was an influential presence in the United Federation of Planets' council. It's interesting, in fact, that Sarek got as far as he did in Vulcan politics, considering he only married Earth women instead of Vulcans.

Sarek's second human wife was Perrin , who was his partner in the 24th century until Sarek's death. Perrin was introduced in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Sarek," and she was as much Sarek's caretaker as wife because the Ambassador was dying of Bendii Syndrome, a rare Vulcan neurological disease. Perrin suggested Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise-D mind meld with Sarek before his death.
