A composite image of Spock and his family members

Summary The Vulcan known as Spock was one of the most important characters in Star Trek, and many of his family members also played key roles in the franchise. Ever since his debut in Star Trek: The Original Series, Spock has been an integral part of Star Trek lore, and so has his family. As the series progressed, more and more of Spock's family tree began to be fleshed out, and it was clear that Spock was one of the most connected individuals in the Alpha Quadrant.

8 Ambassador Sarek Spock's Father Close Spock's father was one of the few Vulcans who rivaled his son in terms of making an impact on the Star Trek universe, and he was beloved across the Federation for his diplomatic prowess. Ambassador Sarek made his in-universe debut in TOS season 2, episode 10, "Journey to Babel, alongside his wife Amanda. From their interactions, it was immediately clear that Spock's relationship with his father was strained.

Related All 6 Actors Who Played Spock’s Mother & Father In Star Trek Spock's human mother Amanda and his Vulcan father Sarek have been played by several actors across the Star Trek franchise. Because of Sarek's advanced age, she was a companion and caretaker to him, and she was very protective of his important image as he began to succumb to Bendii syndrome in TNG season 3, episode 23, "Sarek." Unlike Amanda though, Perrin did not get personally involved in Sarek and Spock's affairs.*Availability in US

4 T'Pring Spock's Fiancée Close Bonded with Spock since childhood, the Vulcan T'Pring's flawless logic spelled the end of their relationship in TOS season 2, episode, "Amok Time." As seen earlier in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, T'Pring worked to rehabilitate Vulcan criminals, and it was obvious that her relationship with Spock was complicated.

In Star Trek: Discovery season 2, episode 8, "If Memory Serves", it was revealed that young Spock and Burnham had grown quite close, and she helped him stay in touch with his human side. However, when Spock attempted to stop Burnham from running away, she waylaid him with the insulting term "half-breed." Despite trying to reconcile that childhood fight, Spock referenced it as one of the moments that led to him abandoning his human half in favor of Vulcan logic.
