FBI: International season 4 has undergone a major change with Jesse Lee Soffer's Wes Mitchell replacing Scott Forrester as Fly Team Leader. The series continues to explore fresh storylines in its new era, exemplified by Special Agent Tate stepping into the field. "The Unwinnable War" sees Amanda go on her first undercover assignment to expose a corrupt DEA agent.
✕ Remove Ads Tate's Daughter Continues To Be Her Priority In FBI: International Season 4 "She's emotionally involved in the cases, but at the same time, she has her daughter and another life that she's trying to protect." ScreenRant: Episode 4 was a huge one for Tate. What were your initial thoughts when you first read the script?
✕ Remove Ads Tate took a lot of risks during this case. Going back to her conversation with Vo, do you think she felt like she had to prove something to herself and the team? So at the end of the episode, she says,"I think I'm okay where I am, for now," because she knows herself and there is this impulsive part of her that she knows is always going to be there. I don't think that's going anywhere. I think she's going to want to go out in the field again at some point when it's right, but it has to be right. I think that variables have to be in place for her to accept another case in the field.
Christina Wolfe: I think anyone coming into a new position like this, as a leader, there's going to be some trepidation within the team. Is it the right fit and everything? I think, particularly with Smitty, you see that. But I think Amanda is very happy to welcome him with open arms because they so desperately need a leader after Forrester's departure, and he does a really good job of filling in and leading this team to solve more cases.
Christina Wolfe: I absolutely loved working with Jeremy Sisto, so I'd be very happy for him to come back, or for Tate to go out and work in the office in FBI. They have kind of a similar job, don't they? So for them to interact would be really, really cool.
