Stanley is recalling two of its most popular tumblers sold at retailers such as Amazon, Walmart and Target due to a potential burn risk
Stanley is recalling 2.6 million Switchback and Trigger Action Travel Mugs sold at retailers nationwide, such as Amazon, Walmart, Target and Dick’s Sporting Goods, due to a potential burn risk.The company has found that when the mugs are exposed to heat and torque, the lid threads can shrink, causing the lid to come off and cause a burn hazard.
The company has also received 38 reports of burn injuries worldwide with two of those cases in the U.S. due to the defective lids. The mugs are double-walled with a polypropylene lid. They come in several colors, including white, black and green, along with multiple sizes, including 12 ounces, 16 ounces and 20 ounces. You can also see the Stanley logo on the front and bottom of the mug.
