The Stanford Cardinal volleyball team defeated the SMU Mustangs in a sweep, claiming victory in all three sets. Despite a valiant effort from SMU players like Maya Tabron and Naya Shime, Stanford's Elia Rubin and Ipar Kurt proved too powerful with 18 and 16 kills respectively.

The two teams played their ACC volleyball match at SMU 's Moody Coliseum in Dallas on October 16, 2024.The Mustangs didn’t make it easy on the Cardinal , battling hard in all three sets. But Stanford outside hitters Elia Rubin and Ipar Kurt proved to be too powerful, racking up 18 and 16 kills, respectively.
SMU dropped the second set 25-23. Stanford pulled ahead with three straight points after being down 20-18 and never gave up the lead. Opposite Jordyn Harvey sealed the set with a kill off an assist from setter Kami Miner.
