The Bay Area teams will meet in San Jose next season after having not played each other since 2013.

Stanfords’ Tyler Gaffney runs with the ball San Jose State’s Travis Raciti in the third quarter at Stanford Stadium in Stanford, Calif., on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013. Stanford and San Jose State will renew their Bill Walsh Legacy Game series next year, a year earlier than originally planned, as the two schools announced they’ll face each other next season during Thanksgiving weekend at CEFCU Stadium.

On Wednesday, two games were added to make Stanford vs. San Jose State a six-game series, beginning next Nov. 30. The second game added was a game at Stanford on Sept. 2, 2034. When Stanford faces San Jose State next season, it will be doing so in its first season as a member of the ACC. In addition to facing the Spartans, the Cardinal’s non-conference games in 2024 include ones against TCU , Cal Poly and Notre Dame . In order to accommodate the new Walsh Series date in 2024, San Jose State will no longer host Jacksonville State. The teams, whose campuses are just a half-hour drive apart, have faced off 67 times on the football field, beginning in 1900. Stanford leads the all-time series with a record of 52-14-1 after its 2013 win. Before the creation of the Walsh Legacy Series last year, it appeared as though Stanford’s 34-13 home victory in 2013 over San Jose State — behind Tyler Gaffney’s 104 yards rushing and two touchdowns – could be the final time the schools would meet. Here’s a look at the six-game Stanford-San Jose State series: Nov. 30, 2024: at San Jose State; Sept. 13, 2025 at Stanford; Nov. 21, 2026 at San Jose State; Nov. 25, 2028 at Stanford; Sept. 2, 2034 at Stanford; Sept. 1, 2035 at San Jose State.Harriette Cole: All the doors were locked, but there she was in my kitchenMiss Manners: They're demanding we vacation every year in the back of beyondHarriette Cole: I'm jealous of my friend's magic pixie dustVote now: Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the weekGoogle trims Bay Area jobs at offices it had leased a few years agoGoogle trims Bay Area jobs at offices it had leased a few years ago
