STANFORD, CALIFORNIA – SEPTEMBER 23: Sedrick Irvin #26 of the Stanford Cardinal runs with the ball after breaking a tackle against the Arizona Wildcats during the first half of the game at Stanford Stadium on September 23, 2023 in Stanford, California. Stanford gave up a go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter for the second straight week last Saturday against Arizona. Still, senior outside linebacker Lance Keneley is focused on the positives.
“We definitely took down a peg, so I think we’re trending in the right direction in terms of execution and being able to take on these high-powered offenses,” Keneley said. “There’s going to be a lot of people who are going to be saying a lot of things that don’t really matter that much to you,” Keneley said. “And you have to be hyper-focused on your individual job, and if you take it one rep at a time, and if you continue to be successful in these one-rep kinds of games, you’ll come out successful. And that’s exactly what we did two years ago.”
