Brink says she and the Cardinal still have “unfinished business” in the NCAA Tournament before she’ll likely be the No. 2 overall pick in the WNBA draft.

Stanford Cardinal’s Cameron Brink takes a shot against Indiana Hoosiers’ Lilly Meister and Indiana Hoosiers’ Sara Scalia in the fourth quarter at Maples Pavilion in Stanford, Calif., on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023. Stanford star Cameron Brink is headed for the WNBA draft after the Cardinal’s run in the upcoming NCAA Tournament, the senior announced on social media Tuesday.

Warriors star Steph Curry, who is Brink’s godbrother, posted a congratulatory video for Brink via espnW on Elon Musk’s social media platform X. The only other players in the history of the Pac-12 to win Player and Defensive Player of the Year awards in the same season are former Stanford star Chiney Ogwumike and Arizona’s Aari McDonald .

Brink played a key role in Stanford’s 2021 National Championship as a freshman and was first named Pac-12 player of the year as a sophomore when Stanford last reached the Final Four. Stanford won or shared the Pac-12 regular season tile in each of Brinks four seasons and won the conference tournament twice.
