Carse of Gowrie pupils heading to Perth High School have faced a number of issues with school transport over the past two years including a bus going on fire

Perth and Stagecoach East Scotland have apologised after Perth High School pupils were left stranded in the Carse of Gowrie.

A "breakdown in communication" led to them being unable to board the C11 service - which also serves the village - with pupils reporting they were told it was full. "Officers have met with Stagecoach to discuss what happened and the serious breakdown of communication which led to pupils being unable to board the bus and being left at the bus stop. We expect all of our school bus operators to take their responsibility of transporting pupils extremely seriously and failure to do so could have significant repercussions including financial penalties or contracts being reviewed.

Carse of Gowrie councillor Angus Forbes said he regularly gets complaints about the school bus service in the Carse.
