Devastated workers at Auchingarrich Wildlife Park have been searching for Harris
A massive, tame stag is among a missing herd of 30 red deer who escaped when their enclosure at a Perthshire wildlife park was vandalised.
“I fear he’s worth a great deal dead because of his magnificent antlers. He’s a sportsman’s dream head. If he came in the scope of a hunter, he’d be a hugely valuable target as a trophy. Police have been informed and Missing Pets Perth and Kinross have offered to search for Harris with a drone. The deer could be poached for meat though, especially as they are relatively tame and unafraid of humans.
