Stacks, a layer-2 blockchain project atop Bitcoin, confirmed on Tuesday the activation of its Nakamoto upgrade, designed to make transactions faster.
The project's official account on X posted that"Stacks transactions once confirmed are now at least as irreversible as Bitcoin's," and that there is a"significant reduction in transaction times.
The upgrade has been the centerpiece of Stack's roadmap, with initial phases of the implementation began earlier this year, and then several. CoinDesk has adopted a set of principles aimed at ensuring the integrity, editorial independence and freedom from bias of its publications. CoinDesk is part of the Bullish group, which owns and invests in digital asset businesses and digital assets. CoinDesk employees, including journalists, may receive Bullish group equity-based compensation.
