Eastenders star Joe Swash has revealed that his wife Stacey Solomon was his shoulder to cry on whilst filming his latest BBC One documentary Joe Swash: Teens in Care
Joe Swash has revealed that he turned to his wife Stacey Solomon for comfort whilst filming his new BBC One documentary. The EastEnders star sheds a few tears in his film, Joe Swash: Teens in Care, whilst exploring stories of those currently living in the child protections system.
“I’d look at my kids and I’d put my kids in that situation, which is really weird,” Joe told OK! in an exclusive interview. He explained how he read a girl called Casey’s memory book, which had been put together by social workers to tell her about her early years. "I just thought, ‘What would my Rose have been making of this situation, without her mum or her dad, and only strangers?’ It really made me sad.”
"Stacey had to talk me through it a few times," he added. "She said, ‘You can’t keep doing this to yourself, you’ve got to cut yourself off and distance yourself slightly, otherwise this will be really tough.’ It’s been very emotional but such a worthwhile journey."
