The 22-year-old was killed by her boyfriend
They were the words of the mother of murdered Maddie Durdant-Hollamby at her inquest at Northampton Coroner's Court yesterday, July 7. The 22-year-old was found dead at a property in Kettering on August 26 2021 alongside the body of her boyfriend, Ben Green, 41.
Part of the evidence read by the coroner was a statement by Maddie's mum, Rachel Durdant-Hollamby. Coroner Pember became increasingly emotional as she read through the testament from the grieving mother. It was during her 18 months at the company that she met Ben Green, who was her boss in the marketing department.
Maddie first introduced Green to her family over Christmas 2019. Rachel said “he was competitive with Steve when playing darts. Steve was not happy about the relationship, given the age gap and his position within the company." “I try hard to keep it together for Fabian. Her 22 years of life were not long enough, but were great and happy.
