St. Peter's eyeing Sweet 16
Fresh off the first NCAA Tournament win in program history, St. Peter’s coach Shaheen Holloway is still sifting through the 791 text messages he received since upsetting No. 2 Kentucky in overtime Thursday night.His No. 15 Peacocks need to pivot quickly. No. 7 Murray State awaits Saturday in Indianapolis, and the Racers, who outlasted No. 10 San Francisco, 92-87, in overtime, have won 21 straight games.
Holloway, 45, also revealed that he was leveled by food poisoning after eating McDonald’s french fries and a milkshake on Monday. His son, Xavier, had a craving, and Holloway dutifully picked up the fast food. He noted that he had to have the French fries to maintain tradition. After falling sick, he stayed behind in New Jersey two extra days when the team traveled to Indianapolis for the Kentucky game and needed an IV to be at full strength on Thursday.
