A Missouri teen has yet to regain consciousness after having her head repeatedly thrown against the ground during a fight on March 8, her family’s lawyer told The National Desk Monday.a brawl between her and another girl on a neighborhood street, went viral earlier this month. 15-year-old Kaylee Gain can be seen convulsing on the ground after being battered and having her head slammed against the pavement by another girl.

Family lawyer Bryan Kaemmerer told TND Gain suffered a fractured skull, brain bleeding and brain swelling as a result of the attack and remains unconscious. He added the full extent of her injuries remains unknown. Gain’s family says they will seek legal retribution for the attack but are focused on the teen’s recovery at this time.nearly $350,000 as of Monday, with at least $10,000 of that total coming from billionaire Pershing Square CEO Bill Ackman.

She has major brain bleeding and swelling and is in critical condition,” family friend Sarah Hall wrote on the campaign. “Kaylee is fighting hard to stay alive and heal but this is only the beginning of a very uphill battle for Kaylee and her family. We will not know the extent of the brain damage that has occurred until she wakes up but the path to recovery will be extremely hard on the family, not only mentally but financially.

Kaemmerer also said the family wants to see justice served through the courts, though the sole focus right now is on Kaylee's recovery.Gain's attacker as a fellow 15-year-old and argues she should not be tried as an adult for the assault.
