The 6.036-square-foot joint facility for St. Johns County Fire Rescue and the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office will be located in the Flagler Estates community at the intersection of Oliver Avenue and Melanie Street with access to the Hastings area. “This new combined fire station and sheriff’s office will bring essential public safety services to the Flagler Estates and Hastings community, ensuring faster response times and greater protection for residents,” Sean McGee, St. Johns County Fire Rescue Chief said.“It would help with the crime and speeding all sorts of things, I’d say the area can use it in general,” Chandler said.
