A bright holiday makeover awaited 18 local veterans on Wednesday, as Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) “elves” transformed the Veteran’s Village in St. Augustine into a dazzling holiday wonderland.

The Veteran’s Village, formerly the Old Town Inn, was transformed earlier this year by the Veterans Council of St. John’s County and Home Again. As a part of an effort to decrease the number of homeless veterans in St. Johns County. The event included homemade gifts from Anastasia Baptist Church, along with Christmas carolers to celebrate the season.
