Sri Lanka has sentenced 12 men to death for the killing of lawmaker Amarakeerthi Athukorale in 2022. A court on Wednesday found the accused guilty of unlawful assembly to assault and for the deaths of Athukoral and his bodyguard, said senior state counsel Oswald Perera.
