Squid Game creator says season two is in the 'planning process'

At an event celebrating the show in Los Angeles, creator Hwang Dong-hyuk announced that the show will be back for a second season but that it's too early to say when it will happen., he said:"There's been so much pressure, so much demand, and so much love for a second season. "It's in my head right now. I'm in the planning process currently. But I do think it's too early to say when and how that's going to happen. So I will promise you this, Gi-hun will be back and he'll do something for the world.", the creator shared that the show almost had a different ending.
In the last episode, after winning the game, Gi-hun decides not to get on the aeroplane to visit his daughter in the US but instead heads back to face off with the organisers of Squid Game.He explained:"There was one, the other alternate ending, where Gi-hun would get on the plane and leave. And then there was, of course, the one where he would turn back and walk towards the camera.
