Lee Joo-sil, who played Park Mal-soon in Netflix's hit show 'Squid Game,' has passed away at age 81. The South Korean actress died at her family home on Sunday after being diagnosed with stomach cancer in November 2024. Lee had previously overcome stage three breast cancer.

Actress Lee Joo-sil, who starred as Park Mal-soon in "Squid Game," has died at age 81, according to a Korean newspaper.said Lee passed away on Sunday at her family home in Uijeongbu, South Korea. In Nov. 2024, she had been diagnosed with stomach cancer.when Lee was in her fifties she was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer and given less than one year to live, but she received the all-clear from doctors 13 years later.
