Wembanyama suffered a back injury late in the San Antonio Spurs Tuesday night's 104-93 loss at Phoenix.
The Spurs will be without Victor Wembanyama when they host the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night. Wembanyama is nursing a sore lower back left over from Tuesday night's 104-93 loss at Phoenix . The star center suffered the injury when he was whistled for a charge with 2:23 left. Wembanyama finished with 15 points, all in the second half, and had 13 rebounds. He missed all seven shots in the first half, including six from 3-point range.
Wembanyama missed three games last month with a knee injury. The 20-year-old Frenchman leads the Spurs in scoring , rebounding and blocks . He's also averaging 3.8 assists and 1.3 steals per game. With Wembanyama sidelined, Zach Collins is expected to start his fourth game this season. Wembanyama's absence also could mean more minutes for third-string center Charles Bassey.
