The Spurs obtained Langford as a tertiary piece of the February 2022 deal that sent Derrick White to Boston, thinking they might get a free look at a former No. 14 overall pick. Injuries hampered Langford’s ability to stay on the floor for any uninterrupted length of time, and a season and a half later the Spurs still aren’t sure what they have. At his best, Langford proved to be a tenacious defender both on and off the ball.
