For Victor Wembanyama and Co., Thursday's win over Atlanta marked their first game with a full roster
Victor Wembanyama posted his third career game of at least 40 points Thursday night, helped shepherd the Spurs to a 133-126 overtime victory over Atlanta and produced another viral moment when he bounced an alley-oop off the backboard to himself in the second half. For the Spurs ’ sophomore sensation, however, the best part of his week came before any of that happened.
“I thought the low lights or rough patches were more decision-based and not effort-based,” Johnson said. “We can live with some of that stuff.” The Spurs will aim to keep the good times and good health rolling Saturday when the Portland Trail Blazers visit the Frost Bank Center. A victory would push the Spurs, now 14-13, two games over .500 for the first time since Dec. 1.
