We decided that it was in our best interest to decline," Springfield's Strategic Engagement Manager Karen Graves told ABC News in a statement.
"In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats, they're eating, they're eating the pets of the people that live there," Trump said during the debate.saying, "reports now show that people have had their pets abducted and eaten by people who shouldn't be in this country.
"What we know is that the Haitians who are in Springfield are legal. They came to Springfield to work," Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine said on ABC's "This Week."
