We know the Boks will be starting with Frans Malherbe with Trevor Nyakane likely t provide back up off the bench since he can cover tighthead and loosehead and he has been packing in some huge scrums with Ox Nche lately. In contrast, Eben Etzebeth and Franco Mostert are the first-choice locks with RG Snyman the main back-up. If the Boks opt for a 7-1 split than Jean Kleyn will start ahead of Orie.
Furthermore, Esterhuizen has been brilliant and is arguably the unluckiest player on this list to miss out. However, Jacques Nienaber and Rassie Erasmus have stood firm on their selection and backing of Damien de Allende. Finally, Moodie has a huge future ahead of him but for now the focus is on Springbok veteran Jesse Kriel and the return of Lukhanyo Am.
