Springbok debutant Edwill van der Merwe announced himself to the Test arena in remarkable style courtesy of a fine performance against Wales at Twickenham.One of those positives, was the sensational display of debutant Van der Merwe, who made the most of his first opportunity in a Springbok jersey.
Latching onto a loose pass from rookie Springbok flyhalf Jordan Hendrikse, Wales turned defence into attack and pierced through the South African defence. “It was an incredible experience to play my first Test and it was very humbling to earn the Man-of-the-Match award,” the newly capped Springboks ace said after the game.
