Every sports enthusiast, if they think hard enough, can compile a personal list of things they’d love to see again, stuff they wish would come back to us.I miss dramatic, but staged, football and hockey poses. Our filing cabinets contain many of them.Article content Saskatchewan Roughriders’ great George Reed struck various poses for the benefit of the camera, like in the one pictured here, charging hard at the photographer, ball cradled, helmet off, looking mean and larger than life.I miss brown leather goalie pads, gloves and blockers. That one staid colour scheme dominated goaltender fashion for several decades — Rogie Vachon and Ken Dryden, squaring off at opposite ends of the ice, resplendent in stuffed brown pads.
