Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away at Balmoral Castle Thursday afternoon, September 8, announced Buckingham Palace. She was Britain's longest-reigning monarch and is succeeded by her son, King Charles III.
A number of events in Northamptonshire have also been cancelled or postponed to a later date as the county comes together to mourn the Queen. Family and public events A celebration of the 1960s set to take place in Northampton tomorrow, Saturday September 10, has been postponed by organisers. The event has been rescheduled for two week's time, on Saturday September 24.
