Spider-Man Star Tom Holland Breaks Silence On Robert Downey Jr
Tom Holland gives his thoughts on Robert Downey Jr. returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Doctor Doom. After almost three years of being gone from the MCU, Spider-Man is closer than ever to making his comeback as Holland's Spider-Man 4 movie is slowly coming together. However, the MCU will also see the return of another familiar face in the coming years as Downey Jr. is set to take on the role of Doctor Doom for Phase 6.
I’ve been speaking to Downey a lot, especially about him making his return which is super exciting. That was a tough secret to sit on because I have a reputation for ruining things and I strategically have done no press. The fact that Holland got told early about Downey Jr. taking on the role of Victor von Doom could indicate that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have already talked to the beloved Spider-Man actor for his role in the Avengers sequels. Since they are mapping out Peter Parker's next saga in the MCU with Spider-Man 4 and beyond, it would make sense that Holland would also have an early idea of how the web-crawler will fit into Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
