The Hunter becomes the prey.

Warning: Spoilers for The Amazing Spider-Man #33As Spider-Man finds himself overcome by the sins of the Green Goblin, Kraven the Hunter gets exposed for his greatest weakness. Previously, readers saw Kraven and the Queen Goblin partner up to plot against Spidey and the Green Goblin. The Queen gives Kraven a spear filled with the sinful essence of the Green Goblin that's been removed from Norman Osborn.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT As a direct response to his actions, the Hunter becomes the hunted in The Amazing Spider-Man #33 by Zeb Wells, Patrick Gleason, Marcio Menyz, and VC's Joe Caramagna. Cover art by John Romita Jr., Scott Hanna, and Marcio Menyz can be viewed below. The Amazing Spider-Man #33 officially goes on sale September 6. In it, Kraven explains how painfully out of his element he is as prey.

Kraven Loses His Killer Instinct In Amazing Spider-Man #33 As seen in the preview panels below, the story picks up right where the last issue left off after Kraven fled from the newly Goblin-fied Spider-Man. This Kraven - a clone of his "father," whom he killed - contemplates the obstacles that the original Kraven faced in the iconic story Kraven's Last Hunt, where he overcame Spider-Man.

If Kraven the Hunter is world-renowned for anything, it is for his killer instinct. That same killer instinct and the expert planning that accompanies it is what helped the original Kraven "kill" Spider-Man in Kraven's Last Hunt. Ironically, that same gift is proving to be a curse for the new Kraven when he's on the other side of the fence. Kraven is so efficient at offense that he has no idea how to adapt to being on defense.

Kraven Loses His Edge When He Becomes The Prey Something as simple as finding the right weapon to defend himself with is proving to be easier said than done as Kraven freezes up at the thought of it. If he is struggling with just picking the right weapon, then surely, taking on the most dangerous version of Spider-Man is going to be a tall task for Kraven.
