A new video put out by Sony Pictures explains how all of the Spider-People in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse are connected.
The concept of a"multiverse" is not unfamiliar to those who have been reading comics. It's been floating around for decades, but introducing it to people who don't read comics has been a slower process. The Arrowverse on the CW managed to pull it off pretty damn well; if we're honest, we will continue giving them the credit they deserve.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has some issues balancing the multiverse, but they seem to be figuring it out. DC Studios on the big screen is a giant mess, and don't even get us started on That Scene in. Sony Pictures has always been in a weird position with having Marvel characters but not being connected to the Marvel Universe.
